Welcome to the journal

Welcome to The BodyBarre Escape Journal!

After hosting our last two retreats, one thing became incredibly clear to us: this is only the beginning.

What started as a single destination idea quickly turned into something much bigger. The connections. The conversations after class. The laughter at dinner. The beauty of Antigua and it’s people. The escape from the monotony of our daily routine. Adventures that challenged us. The way women arrived as individuals and left feeling deeply connected.

There is something truly incredible about exploring a new place as a group.

When you experience a destination alongside others who are also saying yes to growth, movement, and adventure, it changes the energy of the entire trip. You are not just sightseeing, you are sharing first impressions. You are encouraging each other to try new things. You are navigating unfamiliar terrain together. You are witnessing sunsets and morning practices side by side. That shared exploration builds community in a way everyday life rarely allows.

We saw it unfold naturally on our last two retreats. Women who had never met before were saving seats for each other at breakfast. Booking their excursions together. Staying up late talking long after dinner. Supporting each other through challenges and celebrating small wins together. Travel has a way of accelerating connection, and when you layer movement and intention on top of it, something very special happens.

We knew we needed a place to explore and expand on this evolution.

The BodyBarre Escape Journal is where we will share the journey behind the scenes. The travel tips, packing lists, and lessons learned. The excitement of new destinations, and the small details that make a retreat unforgettable. This will be our space to help you prepare, inspire you to explore, and bring you into what is coming next.

Retreats are different than vacations.

Retreats are intentional. They are immersive. They allow you to move your body in beautiful places, slow down without guilt, and experience a destination with built in community. You do not have to plan every detail. You do not have to research restaurants or coordinate schedules. You simply show up ready to move and ready to experience something new.

After our last two retreats, we saw the shift in real time. Women trying something new for the first time. Saying yes to adventure. Building friendships across states and countries. Exploring places they may never have traveled to on their own. There is an energy that happens when movement and travel combine. It is transformative in a way that is hard to explain until you feel it yourself.

This is not a one-off.

BodyBarre “Escapes” are becoming a recurring part of what we do. New destinations. New experiences. Different landscapes. The same intentional community. We are building something long term, and this journal will grow right alongside it.

Inside this space, you can expect:

  • Travel and packing guides for wellness retreats

  • Flight and carry on tips we swear by

  • Destination inspiration

  • Behind the scenes planning

  • Retreat recaps

  • What to expect when you join us

  • How to prepare your body before you travel

  • The honest lessons we learn along the way

If you have been curious about joining a retreat, consider this your invitation to follow along. And if you have already traveled with us, this is where we relive it and prepare for what is next.

We are so excited about what is coming: More destinations, more movement, more connection, and more adventure.

Welcome to The BodyBarre Escape Journal. This is just the beginning.
