Texas Love Song
Every retreat has its own personality.
Some are transformative, some are full of adventure, some are all about connecting with the world around you.
Marble Falls was all of these.
From the moment we arrived, there was an energy that was impossible to ignore. It was a weekend full of movement, adventure, laughter, and connection, all with a Texas spin.
We practiced mindful movement under the cedar trees and sunshine. We saddled up for horseback rides through the Texas Hill Country.
We were immersed in a truly transformative, beautiful sound bath.
We floated in aerial silks, made friends with the four legged ranch residents, solved the worlds problems while gathered around the campfire, shared bottles and bottles of wine. We cried and laughed until we cried.
Somewhere along the way, strangers became friends….some of whom we felt we’d known all our lives.
Shoutout to Josh, who literally became our ride-or-die emotional support person during our time at the ranch, and who we texted every day for two weeks after we got home.
It's really amazing how much transformation can happen in just a few days.
Looking back, Marble Falls wasn't really about the gorgeous ranch or the iconic Texas hill country scenery, even though both were incredible. It was about the people, about saying yes to things we might not have tried on our own, about supporting each other, and about realizing how much we all REALLY needed this.
One of the greatest gifts of a retreat is stepping away from the routine that is everyday life, long enough to remember what it feels like to simply enjoy yourself.
Saying yes to trying something you’re a little bit scared of, showing up, and being fully present is a gift to yourself, to the people around you in that moment, and to the people you go home to after it’s over. It’s exhilarating.
That gift is a feeling that stays with you long after the retreat is over. It's a feeling I find myself longing for and chasing after, long after I've unpacked my suitcase.
That's what Marble Falls gave us. It reminded us that adventure doesn't always require a passport. Sometimes it's found just a few hours from home, surrounded by good people, open skies, and a willingness to try something new.
We left a little tired, a little dusty, and probably a little sore, but with full hearts and memories we'll be talking about for years.
Marble Falls wasn't just another retreat. It was a gift that continues to give.
Until the next one….
